The Church of the Advocate is an Episcopal Mission in Chapel Hill – Carrboro, North Carolina, launched in 2003. The Advocate is unique and engaging, embracing the Church’s ancient practices and making them new. We are a people of inquiring minds and passionate hearts.

We are a congregation that welcomes the stranger and connects with the community around us. We come from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances, united by a desire to love and serve God and God’s people. We invite people of every kind of household and every stage of life and faith and doubt to join us on the Way.
Come and See
We gather for worship each Sunday at the Unity Center for Peace, 8800 Seawell School Road in Chapel Hill. Here are the directions.
At 8:45 AM Holy Eucharist with child care for toddlers, and Godly Play (modified) for 3-6 year-olds during the first half of the service.
At 5PM Holy Eucharist followed by a dinner fellowship at 6:30. Child care for 1 – 6 year-olds during the first half of the service.
We also gather during the week at the Advocate Office at 403 West Weaver Street in Carrboro for a mid-week Eucharist on Wednesdays at noon, and Contemplative Prayer Wednesdays at 6 PM.
